Wrist Pain get an Ultrasound 1st.

Wrist Pain

EMG stands for elctromyography. (EMG) measures muscle response or electrical activity in response to a nerve's stimulation of the muscle. During the test there are small needles (also called electrodes) are inserted through the skin and into the muscle. Although, this has been the gold standard to rule nerve damage. I often see that this test aggravates the nerves in question. Making it a painful test.

Orthopedic Ultrasound, Inc quickly accesses the area of pain, giving the patient comfort, and assuring them that utrasound is safe, no pain, takes about 15-30 minutes and a fraction of the cost. Ultrasound is a great diagnostic tool for Wrist Pain. We can detect pinching of the median nerve, enlargement of the median nerve, tendon tears, bone chips, bone bruise, metal placement, post operative changes, oesteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, active inflammation. We've been fortunate to be in this field for over 25 years. We are incredibly grateful to share and help patients with in finding the root of their problems.
